About Us
Our Community Day Services offer opportunities for growth, exploration, and enrichment to individuals of all abilities throughout adulthood. The backbone of all of our programs is community. We hope to give each individual the experience of community. Exploration and immersion in our community is an essential part of our program. We know that each individual is important, unique, and has gifts to share. It is important to us that individuals feel supported, develop friendships, and know they are valued members of both the Park Lawn and larger communities.
Programs Offered
We know that interests and energy levels may change throughout life. Within Day Services, we offer a range of programs from fast-paced dynamic programming for individuals transitioning from the school system into adulthood all the way to slower paced programs for individuals that are older, have less stamina, or are at the end of life. We continually assess and evaluate for the appropriateness of placements within community day services.
For those interested in employment, we provide job readiness preparation by offering job skill training and opportunities for experiential learning. We currently have an onsite vocational program that allows individuals to earn a paycheck and benefits. Enrichment programs, in-house and within our community, are offered throughout the day. Within our enrichment program, we offer skill building to encourage growth that will help individuals navigate their lives. Our program honors individual choice and we encourage exploration of self and the community.
Our Beliefs and Goals
We believe that all individuals want to have a sense of purpose, to be part of a community, to have opportunities for growth, to explore and pursue their interests, and have fun. Our goal is to help each individual live their dreams, realize and achieve their potential, lead a full and meaningful life, and most importantly, have fun along the way.
