Park Lawn invites community to open house

On Thursday, November 8, local nonprofit Park Lawn will have an open house hosted by the Park Lawn Board of Directors.

The open house will be at Park Lawn’s workshop, located at 5040 West 111th Street in Oak Lawn between the hours of 7:00 - 9:00 pm. The purpose of this open house is to provide information to all donors of Park Lawn and the community on how their support has made a difference at Park Lawn.

There will be 6 stations with information about Park Lawn’s enrichment programs (which include Park Lawn Players theatrical performers, goal setting, McCord Gallery and Cultural Center art classes, an intergenerational volunteer program, Get Up and Go exercise program); residential facilities; workshop services; supported employment programs with testimonials from Dr. Sandra Bury of Complete Vision Care and Adam Worth of the Oak Lawn Children’s Museum: GRACE program for an aging population with special needs; and Park Lawn’s volunteer program.

Learn about the many wonderful programs for individuals with developmental disabilities at Park Lawn. Tours of the facility will be available by the Board of Directors and meet those who benefit from our programs as well as Park Lawn staff and families.

Hors d’oeuvres, beverages and desserts will be available with an Autumn theme.
